Cyber Essentials is a UK government-backed scheme focused on five technical controls that reduce exposure to common attacks. It gives organisations of many sizes a clear baseline for devices, software, accounts, firewalls and security updates.
Cyber Essentials Plus uses the same control themes but adds independent technical verification. Testing can include vulnerability checks and sampling of devices, so preparation and accurate scope are important.
